"Yokin'Tuner" is a software tuner for music instruments runs on Windows OS. We recreated a typical copy of a tuner for music instruments on Windows OS.

Yokin'Tuner is available for wide variety of purpose for music instruments. Horns, strings, guitar, base and even for human voice. We tuned up the program in order to sense even a small sound so that you don't need to take much time for gain tuning.

Yokin'Tuner achieved very fine precision of frequency detection even in the lower tone range. Error is approximately +-1cent at most around the range -3 octave.

System Requirements:

Windows95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP with an appropriate sound recoding device that can record sound in 16bit and 44.1KHz at least.

How to Install　

Execute a downloaded package EXE to start installation. A new program group will be added to your start menu and README be opened soon after installation.

USAGE

START TUNING

Push "Record" button to get the tuner start for tuning. Tuner may fail to open sound input device if the sound device  is occupied by other program.

"Record" button turns to red when it's ready to detect sound. Turn your microphone to the sound source or connect line to your electric instrument's output.

The red marker on the keyboard shows the currently sounding tone.

Recording will bring CPU load high. I recommend to turn off recording by clicking  "Record" button again.

"OFF" button closes Yokin'Tuner's main window.

REFERENCE TONE

By clicking on the keyboard you can make a reference tone. Click the same key to stop the sound. Octave can be changed by clicking on octave indicators.

The output device is selectable from WAVE and MIDI. Refer the option dialog.

Precision of the sound from MIDI device depends on the capability of the MIDI device.

CONFIGURATION

Click "Option" button to open configuration dialog.

Please refer the descriptions on the dialog for details.

 

 

ANY TROUBLE?
  • Check Volume "Recording Control" of Windows. The control is locating in [Start Menu]-[Programs]-[Accessories]-[Entertainment].
    Is the appropriate sound source ( may be "Microphone" or "Line in" ) selected?
  • On the volume control, check the input gain( volume slider ) level.
  • If CPU load is high, making "Refresh Rate" longer may be effective.
